Valyzen for Shopify
Let buyer agents negotiate with your store. On your rules, with a referee in the room.
Connect your Shopify store, set the floor and the extras you are willing to trade, and any buyer agent can open an arbitrated session with your catalogue. The agreed price lands in your store as a single-use code or a draft order. Every session ends in a signed receipt.
$0.50 per signed agreement · the first 50 signed agreements each month carry no charge · never a share of the price, on either side
Connector in buildEarly-access stores connect first, ahead of the app listing. The dashboard lives at app.valyzen.ai.
How it connects
Four steps. The first three take minutes.
- 01
Connect
One click in your Shopify admin grants Valyzen read access to your catalogue and inventory, and write access to discounts and draft orders. Nothing else. No theme changes.
- 02
Set the rules
Pick the products or collections that may be negotiated. Set a floor per item or as a rule. Name the extras you will trade, cap the rounds, and say how long an agreed price stays open.
- 03
Run a test session
A sandbox buyer negotiates against your live catalogue in test mode. Watch the ledger, read the receipt, and see the test code appear in your store. Nothing reaches a live checkout.
- 04
Go live
Flip the switch. Buyer agents that speak the protocol can find your store and open a session. Every one of them shows up in your dashboard, with its receipt.
At checkout
An agreement is only worth something if your store honours it.
Shopify owns your checkout, so the agreed price has to reach it the way Shopify allows. Valyzen does that for you, then closes the loop when the shopper pays.
- Single-use code
- For a price alone. Valyzen writes a one-time discount code into your store, scoped to the session and expiring with the offer. The buyer’s agent carries it into your checkout.
- Draft order
- For terms with more than a price: an extra thrown in, a bundle, a quantity. The agreed price is locked on the line item and the shopper pays the invoice on your storefront.
- Paid-order webhook
- When the order is paid, your store tells Valyzen. The receipt gains the order number, the session is marked settled, and only then is the agreement billed.
Your storefront, your checkout, your payment provider stay exactly as they are. Valyzen never touches the money.
What stays private
The arbiter holds rules, not secrets.
- Your floor is sealed
- Before the first offer, your floor is committed as a hash. The buyer never sees it. The arbiter checks it at the close, against the hash, to confirm it never moved.
- Your catalogue is read, not kept
- Products, prices, and inventory are read for the session in front of you and for nothing else. Buyer details stay inside Shopify.
- Every receipt names the roles
- Who was the buyer, who was the merchant, who ran the arbiter. A session where Valyzen ran a side as well as the arbiter is stamped affiliated and counts as evidence of nothing.
Any buyer agent
The buyer’s model does not decide your outcome.
Your rules are deterministic: the same offer always gets the same answer, in milliseconds, and every answer is in the receipt. The arbiter scores every offer the same way whoever is on the other side.
Who shows up
- ChatGPT
- Claude
- Gemini
- Grok
- a developer’s own agent over MCP
Third-party names belong to their owners. Valyzen is not affiliated with any of them.
How they find you
Buyer agents discover your products through Shopify’s own agent surfaces, then open the session with Valyzen. Where a surface cannot yet say that a store negotiates, a Valyzen directory does. Valyzen publishes its negotiation capability under its own namespace, so any agent and any store that both declare it can negotiate under the arbiter.
The same session runs for a shopper’s assistant, a procurement agent, or a developer testing against your store from a terminal.
Questions
What Shopify merchants ask first.
Do I need my own agent?
No. Your rules are your agent. The engine that applies them runs on Valyzen, is deterministic, and writes every answer into the receipt. If you already run a merchant agent, point it at the arbiter instead.
Can a buyer agent learn my floor?
It sees your counter-offers, never your floor. The floor is committed as a hash before the session and revealed only to the arbiter at the close, only to confirm it never changed. Sessions are bounded, so an agent cannot probe round after round.
What if the shopper never pays?
The code expires with the offer. The session stays on your record as agreed and unpaid, and it is not billed: on Shopify, an agreement is billed only once the order is paid.
Does this change my storefront or checkout?
No. The connector works through Shopify’s admin APIs: it reads your catalogue and writes codes or draft orders. Your theme, checkout, and payment provider are untouched.
Is the arbiter neutral if Valyzen runs my rules too?
The arbiter and the rule engine are separate services with separate keys, and the receipt says who ran which role. Where Valyzen operated a side as well as the arbiter, the receipt is stamped affiliated. Anyone can verify a receipt offline.
